Snow Cake

Posted : 17 years, 3 months ago on 2 September 2007 01:15 (A review of Snow Cake)

I really enjoyed this movie. I had no idea what it was about going into it, only that Alan Rickman and Sigourney Weaver were in it (so is Carrie-Anne Moss).

A well written story, excellently acted...it draws you in from the very start of the film and keeps you watching until the last sweet, and then amusing, scene.

Live Free or Die Hard review

Posted : 17 years, 3 months ago on 2 September 2007 01:12 (A review of Live Free or Die Hard)

The bad guy in this movie is an American, not a foreigner, as was said by another...an American who used to work for the FBI, as it turns out.

I really enjoyed this movie, and am glad I saw it on the big screen. The action scenes were great...and I loved the fact that you could see (at times) where shots were against a green screen. You could suddenly see how fake the background was, and it was fun.

Justin Long was great, and had some really great lines in this movie, and he and Bruce Willis acted well together. I am so glad they came back and did another Die Hard movie, and this one included a scene in an elevator shaft, which was awesome.

I plan on seeing this one again.

Transformers

Posted : 17 years, 3 months ago on 2 September 2007 01:07 (A review of Transformers)

Saw this movie last night, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. After hearing how good it was from all of my friends, I was not disappointed when I finally got a chance to see it on the big screen.

The special effects were awesome, and the movie seems to have been left wide open for a sequel.

When it comes out on DVD, I want to own this movie, and watch it at least twice more:)

Chances Are

Posted : 17 years, 3 months ago on 30 August 2007 06:45 (A review of Chances Are)

A sweet movie...predictable, of course, but a decent story, good cast, good acting, and enjoyable if you are in the right mood for a sappy romantic movie.

Raising Genius

Posted : 17 years, 3 months ago on 30 August 2007 06:38 (A review of Raising Genius)

I really liked watching this movie. It was really entertaining from start to finish (including the bit that plays while the end credits are rolling).

Wendie Malick, Justin Long, and Stephen Root are all excellent in the film, and the story is well written...it sucks you into the story and keeps you watching.

Feast

Posted : 17 years, 4 months ago on 26 August 2007 12:02 (A review of Feast)

This movie is so bad, it's good. Even Wes Craven is credited as having a hand in it. The only problem with the movie is that it is too dark to be able to properly see all the good gory bits of the film.

Balthazar Getty is great in this film, and Jason Mewes makes an appearance as well. I enjoyed the movie, but could only sit and watch it for about 10-20 minutes at a time, so it took about a week to get all the way through. Completely funny ending too. Definitely on to watch!

Shallow Grave

Posted : 17 years, 4 months ago on 17 August 2007 01:23 (A review of Shallow Grave)

This is an excellent film...well written, well cast, and with great acting. I love the twists in the plot, and how the movie turns out. Ewan McGregor is great fun, and his character, and his character's room mates are a trio of mean-spirited jokers, which gave me a lot of laughs.

Let's Go to Prison

Posted : 17 years, 4 months ago on 13 August 2007 12:58 (A review of Let's Go to Prison)

I was in the mood for stupid comedy the other night, so I chose this movie, and wasn't disappointed. The movie was good fun...for what it was. If you watch this knowing it is going to be utterly ridiculous, you can really enjoy it, from start to finish.

Decent story, decent acting...predictable, of course, but still good.
